Thank you for your interest in employment opportunities with Tulare Local Healthcare District. At this time, the District is conducting a search for a new Chief Executive Officer.
The Tulare Local Healthcare District (the “District”) is moving forward with completing construction of its Hospital Tower and developing other properties to attract and support healthcare providers for the benefit of community residents and visitors. The Chief Executive Officer position will play a key role both in assisting the District’s Board of Directors through this process and in managing other District matters. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual possessing excellent communication skills who is interested in supporting the Board’s efforts to provide safe, efficient, technologically advanced healthcare with respect for the diversity of the region the District serves.
Under the general direction of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will perform a wide variety of higher level technical, financial, and administrative tasks, including, but not limited to:
Coordinating Board emergency, special and regular meetings; drafting and publishing meeting agendas and ensuring compliance with all state laws for noticing and conducting the same.
Ensuring all revenues and expenditures of the District are properly accounted for and reported.
Ensuring that payroll and Human Resources issues are properly administered.
Responding to requests from the Board, District employed attorneys, auditors and other contractors, the District’s tenants (including Adventist Health), media outlets and the general public.
Managing the District’s office and staff, including with respect to Evolutions Fitness & Wellness Center.
Maintaining the District’s property and records.
Negotiating contracts (subject to Board approval and direction) and working with various vendors and contractors.
Recommending actions that enhance the District’s fiscal stability and the stated goals of the Board.
Building and maintaining strong community relations.
Enforcing the District’s policies and procedures.
Assisting the Board in the furtherance of the mission of the District.
The minimum requirements for application are:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
Five (5) years of responsible professional-level financial and personnel management experience.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class C California Driver’s License by the time of appointment.
